Meet Jonathan Hart-Smith, a dedicated recruitment professional with a reputation for excellence.
Jonathan has over 25 years experience in the recruitment sector, having built, grown and internationalised recruitment companies. This has given him the opportunity to be involved in helping thousands of people into new jobs and hundreds of companies find the right person for them.
Jonathan is passionate about making a difference, whether that be in the workplace, the environment or society. This has led him to undertake the ESG and Risk Management course with the University of Cambridge and take on leadership roles with voluntary and not for profit organisations, and ultimately, with his business partner Michael, establish ESG Rec.
Jonathan’s commitment to excellence and his industry knowledge makes him your trusted ally in navigating the ESG talent and job market.
When he isn’t working, Jonathan is a keen (but not very good) triathlete, dad of two and loves walking his dogs with his wife.

Meet Michael O’Brien, Michael firmly believes that by putting passionate people in the right roles, we can positively impact the way we care for people and planet in business.
Michael came from an accounting background before stepping into recruitment in the early 2000s. He founded, grew, lead and managed one of Ireland, UK and Middle East best known and award winning recruitment companies. Throughout his highly successful entrepreneurial career Michael has been a strong advocate for supporting communities, including volunteering his time as a Non-Executive Director at the Mercy University Hospital Foundation. When he isn’t working or volunteering, Michael loves spending time with his family and getting out on the bike.
